One of the most common failures with the DS4 pump on 1994-2000 Chevy 6.5 liter diesel engine applications is the Pump Mounted Driver (PMD), located on the side of the pump. The BD Power 1036530 40 Inch Extension PMD Relocation Kit 1994-2000 Chevrolet 6.5L Duramax moves the PMD Pump Mounted Driver injection pump away from this area of potential heat build-up and mounts in on an extruded aluminum base to provide better heat sinking.
