One of the most common failures with the DS4 pump on 1994-2000 Chevy 6.5 liter diesel engine applications is the Pump Mounted Driver (PMD), located on the side of the pump. The BD Power 1036531 6 Feet Extension PMD Relocation Kit 1994-2000 Chevrolet 6.5L Duramax moves the PMD Pump Mounted Driver injection pump away from this area of potential heat build-up and mounts in on an extruded aluminum base to provide better heat sinking.
