My new Chevy needed some stopping power, especially considering the hilly area that I live. Out of all types of brakes, this method worked  the most effectively, by far. Exhaust braking that works off air compression tends to get less stopping power than this electronic brake. this brake will signal your engine to open the exhaust valves at the exact moment the throttle is released. You get the best stopping power because your cylinders temporarily stop receiving combustion pressure and the engine will slow itself. This product is also sold with a digital monitor instead of an analog switch, and the digital monitor can be connected to other banks diesel modification products as well. However, to simply improve your braking without bells and whistles, this unit with the analog switch works perfectly well and stays out of the way.
