Air Intake Systems Help Improve Engine Performance

Most aftermarket systems include a silicone, plastic, or metal molded routing tube from the air filter to the turbocharger which allows the engine to pull in lower atmospheric temperatures. The intake system air filter is usually placed proximally toward the coolest place in the engine compartment for ease of pulling in fresh air flow and as distant from the engine as possible.
