Diesel Intercoolers for Cummins, Duramax, Powerstroke

An intercooler is designed to accompany turbo and superchargers. They are basically heat exchangers that cool air as it passes by, increasing its oxygen density. Lowering exhaust gas temperatures or EGTs allows the vehicle to use less fuel.

What can I expect from my new intercooler?

An intercooler is similar to a radiator in many ways, but is notably different in that air will pass through its inside in addition to the outside. Air from the intake will pass through the cooler's sealed passageways while air which is cooler is blown from the outside past the fins by the engine's cooling fan. This combination of denser/cooler air produced by the intercooler and a greater amount of present fuel translates into a notable power increase.
