Injen Technology
Injen Technology has some deep roots of cold air intake system design and innovation traceable back to the 1980's. Originally a company, who designed such products for other manufacturers, converged upon its own strength in 1998 and morphed into the Injen Technology that we know today. Located down the road from the famous Auto Club Raceway in Pomona, California, Injen continues to grow and raise the bar in all aspects of its company, from engineering to production and performance. Injen's experimental designs combined with their technological know-how and fantastic styling are part of what keeps them at the forefront of the industry to this day.
Injen rolled out their first intake specifically designed to withstand diesel horse power and torque in 2008. Never wanting to settle for basic performance, Injen's ingenuity and enthusiasm has allowed them to manufacture a few unique diesel specific designs, each improving on its past self. With Injen devoted to the highest standards in all aspects of their company they pledge to continually turn out the best products on the market!
Evolution Air Intake Systems
Injen's latest diesel cold air system, the EVO Air Intake System, is a closed box design for the maximum volume of cold air. The boxes, lids & intake tubes are all made of rotomolded cross linked high density polyethylene for an incredibly sturdy structure as well as providing a clean look. The boxes are one-piece standalone units that include factory mounting points for a simple installation. Somewhere on the box – location dependent on year/make/model – these systems feature the first aftermarket built-in filter minders specifically for the large filter contained within. All of Injen's systems are proudly engineered and produced in the USA.
Injen Technology SuperNano-Web Dry Air Filter
Injen's SuperNano-Web Dry air filter is one of unsurpassed technology. This SuperNano-Web filter is comprised of petite synthetic fibers with even smaller spiderweb-like fibers woven throughout the material. This design helps to increase airflow while capturing and containing even more dust and dirt on the surface than a factory filter. The accordion-like appearance of the filter material gives it a structural strength and is also double-sided in wire: with a wire screen over the outer side which is accordioned with the material and an internal grated wire wall.
Adding to the performance of this intake system are a few unique features:
-Injen manufactures a built-in velocity stack within the air filter; the stack is an aerodynamic feature which prevents air from bouncing around when it hits hard edges and instead helps to streamline and speed the air straight through the filter into the intake tube.
-The Evolution systems have some of the largest air inlet orifices and intake tubes on the market and what's more, Injen boasts that their filters are also some of the largest! What this means for you is increased air flow to your motor.
-It would only be right that a manufacture with such sturdy air intake boxes also produce upgraded connection point pieces and Injen did just that. All intake systems come with reinforced high-grade silicone couplers and stainless steel band clamps with an inner protective liner.
Air Filter Cleaning and Maintaining
The basic accessories such as a pre-filter and cleaning and oiling kit are also offered by Injen. The pre-filters are water repellant and act as a protective shield, an extra layer of defense, in keeping your air filter clean. However, when it does come time to clean your filter Injen has just the solution to do it! With the appropriate cleaning kit to help rid the filter of oils and debris you will set yourself up then next to oil the filter. Instructions are included to help with this process.
Injen's SuperNano-Web Dry Air Filters are backed by a 4 year or 100k mile warranty and the intake boxes are backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty. These warranties ensure that you and your truck are covered!
